Hi there, I’m Haley! Welcome to Pepper & Cream – a project that illustrates my life as a Texan living in northern France, cooking to my heart’s content with delicious local ingredients from farms in the area. Pepper, because every dish needs a little kick, and cream, because the cows down the road have become my wonderful new neighbors.

I’ve always liked cooking, but after giving up meat in 2013, I love it. Here, you’ll find recipes for simple, vegetarian food inspired by farm fresh ingredients that can be appreciated by everyone. Bon appétit!
